When I joined the company in the 1990s, translation software was a niche product used by only a select few. Times have changed, and it is deeply moving to see this field now attract such widespread attention and interest that even the world’s largest IT companies have entered the market.

Demand for translation software has increased, and as the number of companies entering the market has grown alongside it, competition has intensified.In today’s world, where technology evolves at an overwhelming pace, what kind of products can our company bring to market? And what kind of talent can we help nurture and send out into the world? When I confront these questions, I am reminded once again of the heavy responsibility I bear as President and CEO. At the same time, I feel a sense of exhilaration as I take on this challenge.

With 2020 just around the corner, translation software is now expected to integrate with handwriting input, speech recognition, and speech synthesis. Given the nature of our business, we have partnered with renowned overseas companies and research institutions, and fortunately, we have established an environment that allows us to source technologies we do not develop in-house from anywhere in the world.Moving forward, we aim to continue discovering outstanding technologies from around the world and combine them with our own to create synergistic effects.
